Electronics Controls Technician - Join Our High-Performance Manufacturing Team!

We're searching for a skilled Electronics Controls Technician to play a critical role in maintaining, upgrading, and optimizing the advanced electrical and electronic systems that keep our facility running at peak performance. In this role, you'll work hands‑on with PLCs, robotics, servo/drive systems, and high‑end automation while supporting engineering initiatives and driving continuous improvement.

Shift and Salary
Shift: 3rd shift 9PM to 5AM
Salary: $38-$40/Hour
Key Responsibilities
Keep our facility running with precision and reliability.
Install, troubleshoot, and maintain advanced electrical/electronic equipment including PLCs, motor relays, industrial controls, and circuit breakers. This includes regular preventative maintenance.
Diagnose and repair complex automated systems such as HMIs, servo drives, vision systems, and AC/DC drive systems.
Apply deep technical expertise.
Calibrate, align, and modify electronic components to boost efficiency and reliability.
Program and modify PLCs (ladder logic, backups, documentation).
Execute complex system upgrades including high-level electrical layout design, conduit installation, and wiring projects.
Lead technology improvements.
Assist the team in developing and implementing training programs.
Support engineering projects from concept to implementation.
Drive system upgrades, process improvements, and cost-saving initiatives.
Maintain comprehensive backups for machine programs (PLCs, HMIs, drives, vision systems).
Champion safety and compliance.
Ensure adherence of electrical safety programs, including arc flash compliance and OSHA standards.
Maintain and execute LOTO procedures.
Conduct and document audits ensuring the facility adheres to all NEC requirements.
Work closely with vendors to support the team and various system maintenance requirements.
Education & Experience
High school diploma/GED and/or Electronics Technology degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
Apprentice completion in electrical trades.
Experience as Electronics Technician in a manufacturing environment.
Skills
Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting.
Proficiency in mechanical skills.
Strong knowledge of industrial controls and automation.
Experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens, or similar PLC platforms.
Expertise in electrical/electronic systems troubleshooting.
Understanding of NEC electrical codes.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Industrial electronics expertise.
Servo and drive systems knowledge.
Electrical safety knowledge.
Training capabilities.
Problem-solving ability.
Additional Requirements
Must be 18 years of age.
Must pass pre-employment assessment.
Drug screening required.

Standing/walking for extended periods.
Working in various positions (bending, kneeling, reaching).
Required to lift, bend, crouch, reach, twist, and crawl.
Exposure to manufacturing environment (noise, heat, chemicals).
May require working in confined spaces.
Required to work in high places.
Required to ascend and descend ladders safely.
Ability to safely operate mobile equipment.
Ability to wear respiratory protection as needed.
Ability to wear ARC flash equipment.
Ability to wear required PPE (hearing protection, steel-toe shoes, safety glasses).

Must demonstrate core values.
Must be in good standing with no disciplinary action or attendance issues.
Must have performer or higher in last review.
Demonstrated sense of urgency in production recovery situations.
