If you can walk onto a job site, size it up, put your crew to work, and call it done — without waiting to be told how — keep reading.

K&L Energy is hiring a Residential Foreman Electrician. This is a field leadership role for an experienced electrician who is ready to run job sites, develop the next generation of tradespeople, and grow with a company that is building something worth being a part of.

About K&L Energy
K&L Energy is an electrical contractor based in Wyncote, PA, serving homeowners, builders, and general contractors across Bucks, Montgomery, Chester, and Delaware Counties. We specialize in high-end residential electrical — from service upgrades and full home rebuilds to renovations, custom builds, and troubleshooting — and we deliver a level of quality our clients depend on.

Our leadership came from the trades. They know what a well‑run shop looks like. K&L is built to be the kind of company people actually want to work for: good work, a solid team, and a culture where when the company wins, the people win.

We have a crew of capable apprentices and journeymen ready to be led and developed. We need the foreman who can step in, take ownership, and become the backbone of our field operations.

The Role
You’ll receive project information from the office and take it from there — directing your crew, managing the day, maintaining quality, and communicating back. Our management team is available for complex field challenges and technical decisions, but day‑to‑day project execution is yours to own.

We’re looking for someone with strong trade knowledge, sharp critical thinking, and solid organizational habits. If you’ve been ready to fully step into the lead role — this is your opportunity.

What You’ll Do

Lead a crew of 1–3 apprentice and journeyman electricians on active residential job sites.

Assign tasks, manage daily workflow, and maintain quality control of all work completed.

Mentor and develop apprentice electricians — a core expectation of this role, not an afterthought.

Coordinate on‑site with GC superintendents and homeowner clients.

Represent K&L Energy with professionalism in high‑end residential environments.

Project Execution

Apply strong NEC code knowledge and trade technique to solve problems proactively.

Troubleshoot residential electrical systems with confidence and accuracy.

Compile material lists; assist with change‑order scope details as needed.

Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and electrical specifications.

Reporting & Communication

Submit daily project reports, site photos, and job updates via company‑issued iPad (Fieldwire).

Maintain clear, consistent communication with the office throughout the workday.

Complete job closeout documentation and QC checks before leaving any job site.

Vehicle & Equipment

Maintain your assigned company vehicle.

Use your company credit card for fuel, materials, and approved business expenses.

Note: Scheduling, permitting, material procurement, and invoicing are handled in the office.

What We Work On
Residential (Our Core Work)

Service upgrades, panel replacements, and service work.

Renovation and remodel projects — rough wire, service, and final/trim.

Pool installations (electrical systems).

Custom home and tract home construction.

Residential troubleshooting and diagnostics.

Lighting controls and smart home systems.

Additional Project Types

Commercial projects.

Generator installations — K&L is a Generac dealer/installer (Generac experience a strong plus).

Commercial EV charging station installations.

Facility maintenance.

Lighting retrofits (healthcare, educational, industrial, municipal, retail, office).

PV / solar installations.

Restoration projects.

What We’re Looking For
Required

Pennsylvania Journeyman Electrician License — certified educational credits and on‑the‑job hours will be considered.

5+ years of hands‑on residential electrical experience.

Demonstrated experience leading a crew on residential projects — non‑negotiable.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (DMV records check required).

Reliable transportation to the shop and job sites.

Your own personal set of tools.

Must pass a background check and pre‑employment drug screening.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Strongly Preferred

Hands‑on experience training and mentoring apprentice electricians.

Familiarity with change orders — scope, documentation, schedule impact estimating.

Background in rough wire, service, and final/trim phases.

Pool, spa, or generator electrical experience (Generac a significant plus).

Comfort with iPad‑based field tools (Fieldwire, Procore, or similar).

Who You Are

You take ownership — when there’s a problem on your job site, you solve it.

You lead by example and earn your crew’s respect through competence.

You communicate proactively — the office hears from you before they have to ask.

You hold your crew’s work to a high standard, and your own to an even higher one.

You are professional and composed in front of homeowners and GC contacts.

You don’t need to be managed. You manage.

We review every application and respond to qualified candidates promptly.

K&L Energy is an equal opportunity employer.
