PRODUCTION OPERATORS
Location: Paulding, OH. Full-time position.
Purpose / Summary
The Production Operator sets up and operates a furnace, shear, or slitter machine according to customer specifications and work orders. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, strict adherence to safety, and the ability to measure dimensions, align parts, and produce material in accordance with production instructions.
Duties And Responsibilities
Operate equipment and tools in accordance with unit SOP.
Maintain proper records as specified in SOP.
Ensure quality is consistent with customer specifications or work orders; idle machine or make necessary set-up changes to comply; request supervisor help if needed.
Notify supervisor of any non-compliance or changes made to attain compliance.
Adhere to unit schedule when planning work to minimize delays, combine and/or overlap operations, anticipate supply and equipment problems, and maintain efficient production and quality material.
Responsible for cleanliness of the work area.
Adhere to company quality standards, policies, and procedures.
Assist other operators as needed and perform tasks directed by supervision.
Remove scrap from machine regularly and empty hoppers as needed.
Communicate production or quality problems to supervisor and/or shift lead.
Qualifications
Knowledge of current crane and forklift operation preferred.
Ability to read and follow all work order instructions and complete necessary documentation.
Strong communication skills.
Ability and willingness to cooperate with co-workers and supervisors/management of the production team.
Ability to work with little supervision.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Working Conditions
