Job Summary
This position will collaborate with team members to design residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Technical tasks include conceptual site layout, utility design, roadway design, site grading, storm drain and stormwater management, water and sanitary sewer main design, soil erosion control, floodplain studies, permitting, entitlement support, and construction support.
Accountability and Duties
Design site plans utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Prepare conceptual grading analyses and site layout.
Prepare due‑diligence/site analysis reports, engineer opinions on probable costs, utility computations, detention/retention computations, storm‑water reports, and earthwork analysis.
Assist in the production of final construction drawings.
Prepare permit applications for applicable municipal agencies.
Assist project managers as requested.
Assist with client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.
Work closely with other disciplines on multi‑discipline projects.
Attend client and public meetings (days or evenings).
Participate in business development efforts as requested.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Outstanding interpersonal skills.
Adaptable and able to respond quickly under pressure.
Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
Fluent in English.
Available to work nights and weekends as needed.
Proficient in MS Office; experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus.
Valid driver’s license.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited four‑year college or university.
Physical Demand
Requires sitting, standing, walking, and frequent lifting of up to 10 pounds (occasionally up to 25 pounds). Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
May work in outside weather conditions for extended assignments.
