Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, skilled, and licensed Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate is well‑rounded in commercial, residential, and service work, and is dependable, professional, and capable of delivering high‑quality work with minimal supervision. KMB Electric is a small, Veteran owned company and we pride ourselves on a high quality of workmanship as well as organization, efficiency and excellent customer service.
Qualifications
Valid Colorado Journeyman Electrician License (REQUIRED)
Minimum 4 years of experience as a journeyman (PREFERRED)
Experience in commercial, residential and service work
Experience in pipe bending and wire pulling
Strong understanding of NEC and Colorado electrical codes
Strong understanding of mathematical concepts and measurements
Strong understanding of smart home systems such as Control 4, Lutron RA3, Legrand Netatmo
Ability to work independently and manage daily workload efficiently
Ability to lift 50+ lbs., perform physically demanding tasks, and stand for long periods of time
Professional appearance and courteous personality
Personally owned hand tools, power tools, and residential electrician bags (REQUIRED)
Valid driver’s license
Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components
Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform accurate diagnostics
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, building plans, and technical diagrams to determine electrical requirements and materials needed
Ensure work meets NEC code requirements and local regulations
Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and team members
Maintain accurate documentation of work performed
Adhere to all safety procedures and company standards
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Understand the importance and use of a tape measure and a multimeter
