DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide outstanding, friendly customer service.
Maintain solid communication with department and store leadership, and stay updated on the Office Communication Board.
Understand and follow Front End standard practices.
Assist in training other associates when assigned and certified.
Observe and follow all company policies and established procedures.
Clean Cash Office as assigned by the Bookkeeper.
Maintain a neat, well‑groomed personal appearance and comply with the company personal appearance policy.
Assist in special projects and perform other functions as assigned by supervision.
Follow the company management planning (MPP) guidelines to maintain productivity.
Support and comply with all company safety standards.
Communicate any needed equipment repairs or maintenance tasks.
Keep the work area free from debris and safety hazards.
Prepare and verify all bank deposit amounts and change orders in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Enter media totals and sales information accurately in the required systems.
Protect the confidentiality of all company records and financial information at all times.
Detect mistakes and trace errors or omissions efficiently and in a timely manner.
Secure the safe/register at all times when leaving it unattended, protecting company assets.
Use and maintain equipment in good working order, reporting problems or malfunctions immediately to a supervisor.
Maintain general housekeeping and sanitation standards in compliance with store policy and state and local health regulations on a regular ongoing basis.
Perform cashier/service associate functions as required.
Perform service desk/kiosk functions as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Effective communication and customer service skills.
Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and to perform the technical requirements of the job.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Stand 100% of the time with occasional walking short distances.
Use hands to frequently handle currency (paper and coin) and to operate equipment such as cash registers, lottery machines, scanners, computers, and calculators.
Bend and lift products weighing up to 15 pounds continuously, 25 pounds frequently, and 50 pounds on occasion.
Push or pull up to 75 pounds on occasion.
Frequent reaching and grasping at waist level, occasionally above shoulder or below waist level.
Meet established volume activity standards for the position.
Have sufficient visual acuity to check IDs, checks, invoices, and other written documents.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Greet all customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance.
Treat all associates with fairness, dignity, and respect.
Record the purchases/transactions of customers into various software applications and cash registers efficiently and accurately.
Collect money in the forms of cash, checks, or electronic funds from customers and tender accurate change in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Make effective and objective decisions regarding task priorities as per the Bookkeeper Assignment.
Accurately reconcile various media types, including cash, checks, WIC, and electronic payments.
Protect company assets by following office security standards and cash handling practices.
Meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Salary range is between $15.90 – $21.60 per hour.
