Accounting Clerk
Numbers person with a knack for staying organized and keeping things running smoothly?

The Accounting Clerk supports daily accounting operations for the hotel, including accounts payable, general cashier, income audit, and accounts receivable functions. This role ensures accurate and timely processing of financial transactions while maintaining compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Schedule & Pay

Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Pay Range:

From $20 per hour, commensurate with experience

Consistent weekday schedule:

no nights or weekends

What You’ll Do
As an Accounting Clerk, you will play an important role in supporting the hotel's financial operations and ensuring accuracy behind the scenes.

Process invoices, check requests, and expense reports accurately and in a timely manner

Maintain and reconcile vendor statements and accounts payable records

Record and balance daily cash activity, including cash drops and variances

Maintain the hotel safe, house banks, and petty cash

Code and submit petty cash receipts for processing

Support daily income audit by reviewing transactions, adjustments, and reports

Route rebates and promotional items while maintaining proper audit documentation

Assist with accounts receivable, including billing, account setup, and collectionsManage purchase orders and ensure receiving accuracy

Prepare reports and assist with month-end processes

Respond to inquiries from associates, guests, and vendors in a timely and professional manner

Assist with guest billing questions or discrepancies as needed

Maintain organized and accurate financial records and files

Support the team and assist with other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For
We're looking for someone who enjoys working with numbers, stays organized, and takes pride in accuracy and follow-through. Ideal candidates will have:

Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

A professional, dependable, and team-oriented mindset

Strong communication and customer service skills

Basic computer skills, including full Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

High school diploma or equivalent

Previous hospitality, retail, or customer service experience is helpful but

not required
