Class Action Refund Assistant
We are seeking an experienced
Class Action Refund Assistant
to help with the end-to-end administration of a refund/claims process involving approximately
2,500 potential claimants . This is a hybrid onsite/remote
role
suited for someone with prior claims administration, class action, accounting, office or litigation support experience. Will be hired as an employee through an agency
Responsibilities
Scope of Work
The contractor/employee will be responsible for the full refund administration lifecycle, including:
Researching and verifying approximately
2,500 claimant addresses
Preparing, printing, and mailing claim forms
Tracking mailed notices and returned mail
Receiving and reviewing submitted claims for completeness and eligibility
Communicating with claimants regarding deficiencies or questions
Maintaining accurate records of claims status and documentation
Preparing refund data and coordinating or preparing refund checks
Providing periodic status reports and final reconciliation
Maintaining strict confidentiality and secure handling of personal data
We estimate this project will involve about 800-1000 hours over 6 months to a year.
Qualifications
Prior experience with
class action claims administration, settlement administration, or similar refund programs
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large datasets accurately
Experience with address verification, mail merges, and claims tracking
Proficiency with spreadsheets and database tools (Excel or equivalent required)
Comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines in a remote environment
Available for 30 or 40 hours a week to begin - may moderate over time.
Ability and willingness to sign a
confidentiality and non-disclosure agreement
Experience working with attorneys, courts, or legal administrators is strongly preferred
