Ste. Michelle Wine Estates (SMWE) is seeking a

Financial Analyst

to join our team in Paterson, WA. This role partners closely with operations and leadership to provide financial guidance, manage budgeting and forecasting, and drive informed decision‑making for Washington operations. The position translates complex data into actionable insights and acts as a trusted business partner to influence operational and strategic decisions through financial analysis, scenario planning, and cross‑functional collaboration.
On-site role at our Paterson location in Eastern Washington. Candidates must live within commuting distance to be on site five days a week.

Responsibilities

Financial Guidance and Process Ownership:

Compile and analyze monthly financial and productivity reports for Washington operations; manage, maintain and monitor the budget and forecasting process; collaborate with budget owners and planning to drive value from this effort; develop and monitor metrics to measure planned versus actual performance with actionable analysis; prepare variance explanations for consolidation of company performance reporting; support short‑ and long‑term business plans including capacity, capital, and manpower planning; estimate vintage product costs based on planned expense and production attributes; provide vintage product cost information to planning for annual and long‑term planning; maintain the costing model and use it for scenario planning and ad hoc analysis; work with viticulture, winemaking and planning teams to balance production, grape supply, and other materials with future sales forecasts.
Budget Management / Business Partnership:

Lead the planning process by collaborating with budget owners and ensuring alignment with SMWE strategies; establish regular communication with management and influence decisions through financial insight with manufacturing metrics driven reporting; study customer objectives and identify opportunities and corrective action plans when necessary; evaluate issues from a control and compliance perspective; educate customers on concepts that translate actions into financial performance and objectives.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (preferred)
5+ years of financial analysis experience, ideally in manufacturing or consumer products
Strong business partner with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial statements
Experience with planning tools, NPV analysis, and business case development
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and translating data into actionable insights
Demonstrated process improvement mindset
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
History of responsible use of alcohol and other appropriate conduct, as well as fitness to be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies
Your Compensation

$83,374.00 - $108,319.00 per year based upon relevant experience.
At Ste. Michelle Wine Estates we believe in paying our employees equal pay for equal work. Individual offers are made dependent upon a candidate's prior experience and education level as it pertains to the role.
