Program Overview
The Advisor Development Program (ADP) is designed for individuals excited to make a career transition and pursue a career as a Financial Advisor. Through the program, you will work with high‑net‑worth individuals to identify needs, develop relationships, review financial goals, and deliver tailored recommendations that align with clients’ objectives.

Key Activities

Develop a book of business to meet performance hurdles.

Prioritize prospect sourcing, leverage referrals, assess client needs, and refer clients to internal specialists.

Recommend suitable investment products and services based on objectives, resources, horizon, risk profile, and preferences.

Balance growth, referral activities, client follow‑up, prospect building, compliance, and personal development in day‑to‑day and long‑term planning.

Organize and manage resources (time, people, budget) for efficient practice.

Seek specialist expertise when appropriate to develop planning and investment strategies.

Complete mandated training, performance goals, and continuing education requirements.

Collaborate with core banking and investment partners

to meet clients’ financial needs.

Responsibilities

Handle inbound inquiries from leads regarding Merrill offerings.

Position the capabilities of Merrill and Bank of America.

Collect client profile data following KYC procedures to open accounts.

Serve as interim Financial Advisor, providing investment recommendations and servicing client accounts.

Document all interactions and opportunities within Salesforce accurately.

Required Qualifications

Currently holds Series 7 & 66 (or Series 63 & 65 in lieu of 66) licenses.

Minimum one year of experience in the financial services industry or sales environment with goals met or exceeded.

One year of experience in the investments industry, including product training and in‑depth knowledge.

Proven ability to engage and influence others.

Exceptional interpersonal and relationship‑building skills.

Strong written and verbal communication, building trust quickly.

Ability to assess needs and recommend appropriate solutions.

Team collaboration and partner working skills.

Effective listening and probing for clarity.

Goal‑oriented and entrepreneurial mindset.

Experience sourcing clients through prospecting and networking.

Comfort working in a performance‑based compensation environment.

Strong follow‑through skills.

Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel.

Desired Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and/or one year of financial services or sales experience.

Adaptability to new technology and applications.

Ability to execute multiple tasks simultaneously.

Salary range: $80,000 - $90,000 annualized. Offers based on experience, education, and skill set.

Formulaic incentive plan eligibility. Incentives earned based on performance metrics.
