As a Maintenance Technician, you will be essential in ensuring the operational efficiency of our manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, your role involves performing industrial maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, and utilizing your knowledge of hydraulics and schematics. Your core skills in mechanical knowledge and electrical experience will be complemented by your proficiency in CMMS and Microsoft Office. 500-505 Processor Control-Logix; Panel View Terminal using Panel-Builder’s software linked with Data Highway or Ethernet/IP communications
Electrical / Pneumatic Instrumentation Certification
Required Education / Experience / Skills
High School Diploma or GED
Proficient verbal and written English communication
Technical or College Degree in Industrial Technology
5 years Industrial Maintenance and Hydraulics
5 years Industrial Hydraulics Experience
Electrical License or 5 years Electrical Experience
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Reads blueprints, machine drawings, and schematics.
Understand the internal operation of air and hydraulic equipment to the degree of diagnosing cause of malfunctions and repair same.
Must be able to use basic electrical testing equipment.
Must be capable of performing fundamental electrical repairs and installations.
Maintains inventories of supplies and advises supervision of low stocks.
Adjusts and calibrates machines.
Removes, replaces and/or repairs broken machinery parts.
Completes assigned work in minimal time and reports to supervision for new assignments.
Completes requisition orders for parts, locates vendors, and obtains quotations as required.
Troubleshoots programmable controllers.Troubleshoots equipment with CNC, pneumatic/hydraulic controls and/or operating systems.
Installs all types of wiring, pneumatics/hydraulic controls.
Initiates, schedules, and performs preventative maintenance duties using CMM (Computerized Maintenance Management) and compiles records of PM’s and reports back to Supervisor.
PWF Maintenance Module compiles records of PM’s and reports back to Supervisor.
Ensures all safety and lock out/tag out procedures are followed.
Fabricates special tools and replacement parts as required.
Operates lathes, drill presses and all types of powered metal/wood working equipment.
Initiates, participates, and manages process improvements, and is part of the implementation team.
Initiates self-directed activities.
Responsible for adherence and knowledge of all ISO processes, procedures, flowcharts, and quality policy.
Responsible for driving Self-Managed Performance (SMP) program through organization through self-motivation, initiative, and participation.
Cross-trains in department processes and procedures as directed by supervision and in various departments on machine operation and/or production functions for possible movement to higher job class.
Responsible for identification, documentation, segregation, evaluation and disposition of non-conforming product, services, and systems.
All department processes and procedures documented and the appropriate individual(s) trained and cross-trained as necessary.
