Job Overview
Prent Corporation is a family‑owned, 55‑year‑old leader in custom thermoformed packaging for the Medical, Electronic, and Consumer industries.
We are looking for a highly motivated Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep, repair, and refurbishment of production and support equipment.
Responsibilities
Maintain all plant and manufacturing equipment in good repair.
Inspect, check and maintain all operational equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical equipment issues and repair faulted equipment promptly.
Overhaul and rebuild equipment.
Perform independent validations using precision instruments.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using a CMMS.
Use hand tools to perform repairs and maintenance.
Inspect and monitor facility‑level equipment such as HVAC systems, vacuum pumps, and other equipment as requested.
Perform routine maintenance checks according to schedule.
Collaborate with the maintenance and production teams.
Participate in internal and external training as requested.
Identify areas for continuous improvement.
Assist in training new maintenance personnel.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area and adhere to all safety protocols.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum five years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
Valid driver’s license.
Excellent mechanical and electrical aptitude, with ability to measure, read, and understand precision instruments.
Ability to interpret mechanical drawings.
Proficiency using hand tools and comprehending work orders.
Good communication skills and ability to maintain accurate records.
Basic math skills.
Computer proficiency in a CMMS.
Must be available to work additional hours and on‑call as necessary.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Occasional travel to other Prent locations as requested.
Schedule & Compensation
Four 10‑hour shifts per week, 2nd Shift: 2:00 pm to 12:30 am, Monday‑Thursday with occasional overtime on Fridays. Pay $26.47 to $28.38 per hour, depending on experience.
