Position Description
The Logistics Financial Analyst provides analytical and operational support to the Supply Chain Planning and Warehousing/Transportation Operations Department. This position focuses on monitoring logistics spend, analyzing multiple KPIs, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Under the guidance of management, the analyst will ensure financial data accuracy and help optimize logistics costs through data-driven insights.
Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly and quarterly logistics expense reports, focusing on freight and warehouse costs.
Assist in the preparation of annual logistics budgets and periodic financial forecasts.
Monitor KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), identifying trends, and monitoring variance that would impact the logistics cost.
Performs variance analysis to explain differences between actual logistics spend and forecasted amount, previous year same period, etc.
Maintains and updates financial models used for logistics cost forecasting and simulation.
Extract and organize data from ERP Systems and TMS/WMS.
Ensure the integrity of logistics financial data for use in executive-level reporting.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Supply Chain Management
1-2 years of experience in Accounting, Cost Accounting, Logistics, or a related field
Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPS, and Basic Macros are essential)
Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau or Power BI) is a plus
Exposure to ERP systems or Logistics/TMS/WMS software
Problem Solving/Analysis
High attention to detail
Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while meeting tight reporting deadlines
Ability to manage and work effectively within cross-functional groups
