Job Summary:
The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the accounting function by maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards. This role plays a key part in the month-end close process, reconciliation, and overall financial integrity of the organization.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Timely and accurate preparation of journal entries, ensuring proper documentation and accuracy
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations
Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes
Maintain general ledger and ensure all transactions are recorded appropriately
Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions when required
Assist with audits by preparing schedules
Provide support for internal controls, policies, procedures, and SOX compliance requirements.
Automate repetitive processes where possible
Required Skills/Abilities:
Motivated and strong attention to detail and accuracy
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Proficient knowledge of accounting, USGAAP. IFRS is a plus
MS365 Dynamics or similar ERP advanced user experience.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on advanced Excel capabilities.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting. CPA is a plus
1–3 years of accounting experience (public accounting experience is a plus)
