Flood Underwriter

We are seeking a Flood Underwriter for Torrent Technologies, based in Kalispell or remote nationwide.
Responsibilities
Underwrite new submissions to ensure new policies are correct, per guidelines.
Process endorsements, cancellations, reinstatements, handle billing issues, and complete policy issuance.
Review all underwriting information, including applications, photographs, elevation certificates, and third‑party internet resources to accurately underwrite policies.
Provide customer service to agents via phone, chat, and email, and deescalate difficult situations to resolution.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
1+ year of insurance underwriting experience, including recent experience with flood insurance.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, basic to intermediate technical knowledge, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
