Role
By emphasizing ONE Park, ONE Mission, One Team, the Senior Member Service Representative (MSR) supports branch operations by leading and assisting MSRs to provide friendly, accurate, and timely service to members. This role involves scheduling and monitoring daily activities, processing member transactions, uncovering opportunities to deepen relationships with members, coaching and training new employees, resolving issues, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, managing cash operations, maintaining records, and supporting the team in balancing and resolving discrepancies. The Senior MSR fosters a professional work environment that promotes teamwork and respect among coworkers.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Schedule and monitor daily activities of MSRs.

Receive and process member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, money orders, traveler’s checks, and transfers.

Complete and maintain financial certification training as designated by the credit union.

Uncover opportunities and advise members toward financial health; coach MSRs to deepen relationships.

Assist in new employee training; promote teamwork and build respect among coworkers; provide solutions to problems.

Assist tellers/MSRs with balancing, aiding in finding and correcting errors.

Complete reports, coaching logs, dual control logs, and assignments in a timely and accurate manner.

Monitor department activities for compliance with established policy and regulations; take action to resolve any non‑compliant issues and keep manager informed.

Order daily cash requirements; manage vault cash; maintain ATM and cash dispatch machines.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Maintain professional, friendly, and accurate service to members and coworkers.

Cross‑sell the established number of new products per month focused on meeting the member’s financial needs.

Function within pre‑set balancing standards policy.

Use caution and good judgment when exercising override authority.

Maintain a highly qualified staff sufficient to meet daily demands.

Keep management informed regarding key operating issues.

Promote teamwork, build respect among coworkers, and present a businesslike appearance.

Follow all security policies and procedures and report discrepancies or suspicious activity immediately.

Follow the Bank Secrecy Act and anti‑money laundering policies, including running OFAC searches, completing investigative reports of suspicious activity, and submitting currency transaction reports on time.

Knowledge and Skills

One to three years of similar or related experience.

High school education or GED.

Good communication skills for training others.

Keyboard and computer skills are a must.

Accuracy in counting money and processing numbers.

Diplomacy and tact in communication with confidentiality.

Physical Requirements
The work environment is generally an office setting, with interaction with customers. The employee must sit, stand, and walk short distances, use hands and fingers to count currency and handle objects, read, write, speak, and use computer and office equipment. Occasional lifting up to 15 pounds, sometimes up to 25 pounds, and occasional pushing and pulling of office furniture or objects is required.
