Summary
Plant Maintenance personnel are responsible to maintain the safe operation of company plants and structures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Inspect, repair, monitor, aid, clean, lubricate, operate, fabricate, maintain, and regulate machinery and equipment necessary for company production and safety.
Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.
Drive truck to location for unloading.
Ensure OSHA rules and regulations are followed and all equipment is up to code.
Mandatory travel, sometimes with little notice.
Able to weld, fabricate, erect and build structures.
Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired.
Misc. projects - helping around the yard as needed.
May operate loader.
Work within all safety procedures.
Comply with all company policies.

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Preferred Experience
Preferably familiar with concrete, aggregate or asphalt manufacturing plants.
Education and Experience
Six months - One year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s.
Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Able to deal with problems involving a few variables in standardized situations.
