Ryder is hiring for a Permanent Full-Time Warehouse Forklift Operator in Milton, Pennsylvania.
Position Description

Ryder is seeking a Warehouse Forklift Operator in Milton, PA. Roles include handling, loading, unloading, and operating powered industrial trucks within a safe, efficient distribution environment.
Schedule

1st Shift – Mon-Fri 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM with weekend work as required – $23.87 start
2nd Shift – Mon-Fri 3:30 PM – 11:30 PM with weekend work as required – $23.87 start (plus $1.00 after going to shift)
3rd Shift – Mon-Fri 11:30 PM – 7:30 AM with weekend work as required – $23.87 start (plus $1.25 after going to shift)

Responsibilities

Package, kit and/or assemble orders and materials
Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers; ensure scanning is completed correctly; train dock employees on new procedures
Ensure facility is secure at end of shift; investigate/resolve scanning issues and housekeeping; perform picking and packing duties; check for product or container damage
Perform tasks per location policies and procedures; handle materials within logical transactions
Perform material moves with associated physical/logical transactions
Participate in workgroup and team activities to improve warehouse operations
Perform housekeeping duties for assigned area
Performs other duties as assigned
Important Note:

Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or customer-specific badging or background requirements.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Six months of related warehouse experience required
One year or more related warehouse experience preferred
Ability to operate powered industrial trucks (stand-up and sit-down forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks); maintain equipment (change battery, recognize common mechanical issues) – intermediate
May be required to operate manual and/or automated other warehouse/manufacturing equipment (e.g., packaging line) – intermediate preferred
Powered industrial truck certification
Ability to read and perform basic mathematics in English for safety and work instructions
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
Ability to input data into the WMS system
Ability to work overtime as assigned
Ability to build professional relationships at all levels
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Self-motivated and flexible to excel in a fast-paced environment
Strong multi-tasking, organizational, and time management skills
Detail-oriented with good follow-up practices
