Responsibilities
Respond to and complete resident maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner, troubleshooting issues related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances.
Prepare vacant apartments/homes for new residents (make-readies): painting, drywall repair, deep cleaning, and repairing or replacing fixtures and appliances.
Conduct routine inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify and resolve issues before they become major problems.
Assist with keeping the property exterior, common areas, and walkways clean, safe, and free of debris (may include snow removal or light landscaping depending on the season).
Keep accurate records of completed work orders, parts used, and time spent. Assist in managing the inventory of tools and maintenance supplies.
Maintain a courteous and helpful demeanor with residents at all times, respecting their privacy and property while working in their homes.
Participate in the on-call rotation to respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum of 6 months experience (1-3 years preferred) in residential property maintenance, facility maintenance, or a related skilled trade.
Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and appliance repair.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, team members, and management.
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a background check.
