Description
Serve as a trusted resource for customers by opening a variety of SBSU accounts, assessing needs, and recommending products and services. Provide excellent customer service by resolving concerns, processing transactions, and balancing a cash drawer accurately. Use strong knowledge of bank accounts, regulations, and procedures to research issues, support relationship growth, and make referrals to specialized services. Assist with community outreach and perform other duties as needed to support branch operations. This position will be M-F 8-5 at our Cedar Main branch.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Be a primary resource for opening new customer accounts including all SBSU deposit accounts, 401(k), IRA, and credit cards.
Resolve customer concerns efficiently with customer satisfaction being the goal of every transaction.
Become an expert in SBSU accounts and services.
Assess customer needs during the account opening process and promote bank products and services, making referrals as necessary.
Process bank transactions, including but not limited to taking loan payments, performing money transfers, ordering checks, and balancing a cash drawer according to bank policy.
Become familiar with banking regulations and established bank policies and procedures.
Provide excellent customer service with a focus on relationship development with the customer.
Research customer questions, resolve account issues, analyze branch data to develop future relationships.
Assist in community awareness events to increase bank outreach and foster new business opportunities.
Other duties as assigned based on needs of the branch at the discretion of the Branch Operations Manager.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Graduate or (GED).
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must pass a credit and background check.
At least 6 months of cash handling job experience.
Extensive face-to-face customer service work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of job experience with cash handling.
1+ years of experience interacting with the public.
Bilingual a plus.
Skills
Ability to effectively use a business computer system to process transactions and complete daily work.
Ability to communicate effectively both in person and over the phone.
Problem solving and attention to detail.
Basic knowledge of math, cashiering, balancing, debits, credits, bank products and banking.
Be self‑motivated to greet customers in a prompt, polite, and friendly way.
