Position Summary
Reporting to the University Controller, the Financial Reporting and Compliance Manager leads the Financial Reporting team, overseeing general accounting, transaction audit & compliance, fixed asset accounting, and vendor maintenance. The role manages compliance‑based reporting for federal, state, and municipal tax requirements, supports preparation of annual financial statements and external audit, and serves as a subject‑matter expert on GAAP and GASB. The manager collaborates closely with the Financial Service Center Manager and the Assistant Controller as part of the University Financial Services leadership team.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Accounting, or a related field. Provide transcript or diploma.
At least five years of progressively responsible professional experience in accounting and/or finance.
At least five years of full‑range supervisory experience, including direct supervision, hiring, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
Ability to work collaboratively under deadline pressure while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
Extensive computer skills, including data interpretation and report compilation.
Ability to research, analyze, and apply GASB, GAAP, and related rules.
High interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work cross‑functional.
Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Accounting, or related field, and/or CPA licensure.
Experience in higher education.
Experience with Banner ERP and fund accounting.

Benefits and Compensation
The starting annual salary ranges from $74,232 to $98,364, dependent on education, skills, and experience. Benefits include 95% premium paid healthcare, generous retirement and vacation packages, and reduced tuition rates for employee, spouse, or dependent at Oregon University System schools.
Working Days and Hours
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, schedule to be determined.
