Role Overview
The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial records through precise data entry, diligent reconciliation, and proactive cost analysis. This role is a blend of traditional general ledger accounting and manufacturing-specific cost accounting, requiring a candidate who is both detail-oriented and analytical.

Core Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable & Cash Management
Payment Processing:Record all incoming payments within theEpicorsystem with high accuracy.
Collections:Monitor receivable balances and maintain professional communication with customers to ensure timely payments.
Dispute Resolution:Identify and resolve invoice discrepancies to keep AR aging current.
Cost Accounting & Job Analysis
Job Costing:Implement procedures to track labor, material, and subcontracting costs against active jobs.
Profitability Analysis:Analyze job costs to ensure accurate bidding and maintain healthy profit margins.
Resource Allocation:Ensure all project-related expenses are properly allocated to the correct general ledger accounts.
Monthly Closing:Journal entries and reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
Record Keeping:Maintain comprehensive digital subledgers, journals, and audit-ready files.
Audit Preparation:Assist leadership in gathering documentation and schedules for annual financial audits.
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
Experience:Minimum of 3 years in a similar accounting role (manufacturing environment preferred).
Technical Skills
ERP Expertise:Familiarity with Epicor is preferred.
Software:Advanced proficiency inMicrosoft Excel(formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
Accounting Knowledge:Deep understanding ofGAAPprinciples and financial statement preparation.
Communication:Strong written and verbal skills for customer and internal team interaction.
Precision:Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
Time Management:Ability to multitask and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment.
Independence:A self-starter capable of working both autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.
