Job Description
The University of Florida College of Dentistry is seeking a Customer Service Representative in Dental Records and Patient Registration. This position provides clerical and non‑clerical support to the Office of Clinic Administration.

Support of Patient Registration

Aid the Patient Registration Area with management of patient check‑in, questions, phone calls, college switchboard.

Utilize Axium to accurately collect and document Protected Health Information (PHI).

Prepare daily for patient appointments. Collect and accurately record all demographic information, obtain photo identification, insurance details and obtain all necessary patient consent forms.

Professionally answer calls from patients and internal personnel.

Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming lobby environment while adhering to all safety and security protocols.

Responsible for logging use of wheelchairs and sign stands.

Record Management and Compliance

Duplicate records as they come in at the front desk. Patients may request an email copy by using the secure portal and compliance with the HIPAA disclosure form.

Complete documentation of all actions taken.

Operational Support

Serve as a backup for the immediate supervisor during absences.

Provide coverage for switchboards in dental records as needed.

Successfully complete various projects as assigned on a timely basis.

Other duties as assigned.

Expected Salary
$15.80 - $16.86 per hour; commensurate with education and experience

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

One year of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Working knowledge of the University of Florida, State University System, and government agencies.

Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.

Skill in preparing correspondence and reports using a personal computer.

Ability to take instruction from supervisors and carry to satisfactory completion.

Ability to understand and apply rules, priorities, policies and procedures to daily/overall work schedule.

Ability to establish and maintain good work relationships with faculty, staff and students.

Veteran's Preference
This position is eligible for veteran's preference.
