Position Overview
Our insurance carrier client is seeking a
Litigation Claims Assistant
for a
3-month temporary assignment
to support their claims department with file review and classification. This role is ideal for someone with a strong attention to detail and prior exposure to claims or legal documentation. The primary responsibility will be reviewing
physical claims files and documents
to accurately determine whether files are
litigated or non-litigated
and ensuring proper organization and tracking.
Responsibilities
Review and evaluate physical claims files and documentation to determine litigation status
Identify and categorize litigated vs. non-litigated claims based on defined criteria
Organize, label, and update files to ensure accurate record-keeping
Assist with basic administrative support related to claims and litigation files
Communicate findings to claims or legal team members as needed
Maintain confidentiality and compliance with company and regulatory standards
Requirements
Prior experience in insurance claims, litigation support, legal assistant, or claims administration preferred
Familiarity with litigation terminology and claims file documentation is a plus
Strong attention to detail and ability to work through high volumes of physical files
Organized, reliable, and able to work independently
Proficiency with basic office tools (email, document tracking, spreadsheets)
Compensation & Benefits
$20 - $24/hr
