Position Overview
The Financial Systems BI Senior Analyst I administers and enhances the OneStream financial planning and reporting platform. The role independently configures application components, builds and supports dashboards and reporting models, and ensures stable operations through maintenance, testing, upgrades, and incident resolution. It gathers and translates business requirements into technical solutions, supports integrations and data quality controls, delivers end‑user training and documentation, and coordinates system updates with integrated project schedules.
Responsibilities
Administers, configures, and maintains OneStream application components, security, and metadata.
Builds and maintains dashboards, reporting models, templates, and workflows in OneStream.
Gathers, documents, and validates business requirements with Finance, Accounting, and IT subject‑matter experts.
Monitors and supports data integrations between OneStream and upstream/downstream financial systems.
Executes system upgrades, patches, and enhancement deployments, including test planning and validation.
Creates and maintains end‑user documentation, training materials, and support procedures.
Monitors data quality, reconciliation results, and audit readiness in alignment with internal controls.
Analyzes, troubleshoots, and resolves OneStream incidents and defects, coordinating with vendors and internal teams.
Manages and resolves OneStream support tickets, including CubeView design, QuickView functionality, XFSet data creation and loading, and Data Management jobs.
Identifies and implements process improvements that increase platform efficiency, standardization, and user experience.
Demonstrates understanding of business process workflows and how financial applications support those processes.
Facilitates communication with users, project team members, developers, and management across the organization.
Facilitates business process requirement sessions to define scope and requirements for planning process automation.
Investigates and resolves complex issues by contacting appropriate internal/external resources.
Participates in planning system updates, enhancements, integrations, testing, and ensures compliance with audit controls.
Collaborates and strategizes with IT, financial systems, and business teams to drive system efficiencies.
Participates in internal audits of financial system procedures and presents evidence of executed processes.
Participates in preparing project budgets, staffing plans, and recommendations.
When available, serves on Vendor/Customer Advisory Boards.
Implements and leads an effective project change management process, incorporating impact analysis and approvals.
Assists with the creation and preparation of the annual financial system budget.
Other duties as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and five (5) or more years of experience with financial systems, or High School Diploma and nine (9) or more years of experience.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Technology; Master’s degree.
Preferred experience in professional services firms such as accounting, financial services, business advisory, or banking industries.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Experience with Business Intelligence Reporting Tools (OneStream, Hyperion, PowerBi, FDI/FAW).
Superior verbal and written communication skills.
Strong technical and data analysis skills.
Ability to work in a deadline‑driven environment with attention to detail.
Superior analytical and diagnostic skills.
Excellent computer skills and aptitude to learn new software applications.
Superior customer service skills.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Strong interest in accounting, finance and systems.
Salary Range
National Range: $90,000 - $100,000
Maryland Range: $90,000 - $100,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $90,000 - $100,000
