Family Law Associate Attorney - North Florida
Salary:
$110,000 - $125,000 per year
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Family Law Attorney licensed to practice in the State of Florida. The ideal candidate is a confident litigator and skilled negotiator who can manage a diverse caseload while delivering exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities
Represent clients in all aspects of family law matters, including divorce, legal separation, child custody and visitation, child support, alimony, equitable distribution of marital assets, paternity, and domestic violence injunctions
Draft, review, and file all necessary legal documents including pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, parenting plans, and court orders
Conduct legal research and develop case strategies in accordance with Florida statutes and case law
Appear in Florida circuit courts for hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials
Advise clients on their rights and legal options in a clear, empathetic manner
Collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, and support staff to manage case files efficiently
Maintain compliance with Florida Bar rules and ethical standards
Meet billing and productivity targets as established by firm management
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school
Active membership in good standing with The Florida Bar (required)
1-5 years of family law experience (associate or senior level depending on firm need)
Demonstrated courtroom experience in Florida circuit courts
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage a high-volume caseload with multiple deadlines
Proficiency with case management software (Clio, MyCase, or similar)
Preferred Qualifications
Board certification in Marital and Family Law by The Florida Bar
Experience with high-asset divorce or complex custody matters
Familiarity with collaborative divorce or mediation processes
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus in many Florida markets
