Starting pay rate = $22.65 plus $1.00 per hour each anniversary (up to 3 years) in addition to plant‑wide merit increases.
Job Overview
Stryten Energy, located in the Fort Smith, AR area, operates a growing battery manufacturing factory. Through the Industrial Power division, we produce batteries, services and solutions for the Motive and Network Power industries.

2nd Shift: 2:30pm to 11:00pm

Responsibilities
Casting
Have alloys checked and staged for melting pot
Set up casting machines
Perform quality checks, looking for missing members, flash and cracks
Have forklift move full pallets to storage for curing organized for production schedule
Pasting
Set up pasting machine
Perform quality checks
Feed plates and/or move stacks across rollers with minimal handling to drying rack
Have forklift move full drying racks to steam huts for curing
Move cured plates to storage area organized for production schedule
Assembly
Assemble batteries from components staged on line; may involve loading, burning, sealing, testing or stacking
Charge & Cycle
Fill jars with required amount of acid to allow plates to soak
Connect banks of batteries together
Initiate battery charging
Work batteries through charge and discharge cycles to specifications
Test batteries for finishing
Wash batteries for finishing
Finish & Pack
Configure batteries based on order and/or standard operating procedures (SOP)
Prepare batteries for shipment, including crating, strapping and packing additional parts based on order and/or operating procedure
Box parts for specific batteries depending on upcoming orders and SOP
May involve loading trucks
Qualifications
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
One to three years of manufacturing experience; preference given to experience with batteries and/or mechanical processes
Military Experience
Stryten Energy encourages candidates with military training and/or experience to apply.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze and interpret common technical instructions
Effectively communicate with co‑workers, customers and management
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Reasoning Ability
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
Prefer ability to define problems and draw valid conclusions to help determine the work that needs to be performed
Prefer an understanding of basic electricity/electronics to troubleshoot problems
