Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic and screening mammography imaging with proper patient positioning and compression
Operate mammography and radiography equipment, ensuring high-quality images
Review images for diagnostic quality and communicate findings to radiologists as appropriate
Maintain strict adherence to radiation safety and ALARA principles; ensure patient safety
Position, prep, and assist patients through the imaging workflow; obtain necessary patient information and consent
Document procedures and maintain accurate radiology records; collaborate with the radiology team and follow department protocols
No on-call requirements; support a smooth, daytime imaging schedule
Requirements
ARRT Radiography (R) certification active
MRT (M) certification active
ARRT Mammography (M) certification required in OR; preferred in CA and HI
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Fluoroscopy license preferred in California
Venipuncture certification preferred in California
