NextStep Recruiting is partnering on a search for a mid-level tax attorney to join a nationally recognized legal team focused on complex energy and infrastructure matters. This opportunity is ideal for someone who brings a strong tax foundation and wants to work on sophisticated transactions tied to renewable and energy transition projects.
What You’ll Do
Advise on tax-related aspects of project finance and transactional matters across renewable and infrastructure projects
Support senior attorneys on deals involving developers, lenders, investors, and other key stakeholders
Work across matters tied to solar, wind, battery storage, carbon capture, hydrogen, transmission, and related sectors
Stay current on evolving federal tax incentives and partnership tax considerations impacting energy transactions
What They’re Looking For
2 to 7 years of experience practicing tax law
Exposure to renewable energy tax incentives, including credits tied to recent federal legislation
Strong academic background and solid technical tax foundation
Experience in a large law firm environment preferred
LLM in Taxation is a plus
