The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

Working on confidential portfolio management projects, integrations, and separations
Reporting: Analyst responsibility, controlled document processes (change logs, versioning)
Diligence: Preparing diligence documentation and responding to diligence requests
M&A legal processes: Support drafting of agreements, schedules, data privacy notifications and consents, other
Retention processes: Preparing retention proposal materials for executive review and approval
Communications: Drafting and providing input into deal communication plans
Project Management: Direct project ownership with experience gained
Updating and maintaining the HR M&A Hub, which includes playbooks and associated project management tools, with opportunities to design/implement processes
Backing up the transitions and U.S. severance function
Responsibilities of this position include compliance with corporate policies, procedures and security standards while performing assigned duties.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
Five (5) years of combined experience in Human Resources and/or Finance in a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Excel use (intermediate +), data analysis, and financial modeling experience
Understanding of how benefits and compensation plans are utilized
Exposure to and/or some working knowledge of M&A
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Ability to navigate a deal’s perimeter scope to liaise and have discussions with 3M leaders about people in their organization
Work location

This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.
Travel

May include up to 5% domestic.
