About AKIVA
AKIVA is an AI-native engineering firm specializing in enterprise services, domain-specific solutions, and high-performance infrastructure from strategy through deployment. We build innovative systems that drive measurable results for commercial enterprises and government agencies. AKIVA is a certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB).
Position Overview
AKIVA is seeking Senior Recruiters (2 FTEs) to source, screen, assess, and place qualified candidates into temporary and temp-to-hire assignments for a public-sector client in the Seattle metropolitan area. You will own a full-desk recruiting workflow across administrative, IT, accounting, and clerical classifications — driving fast turnaround (2 business days standard, 5 business days for hard-to-fill roles), strong candidate quality, and deep bench depth. This role is essential to SLA performance and to AKIVA's long-term growth in the Pacific Northwest staffing market. AKIVA-provided AI-assisted sourcing, candidate‑matching, and outreach tools may be leveraged to accelerate pipeline development.
Key Responsibilities
Own the candidate pipeline for assigned labor categories — administrative, IT, accounting, clerical, and adjacent classifications
Source candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, referrals, social media, local associations, community organizations, and AKIVA's proprietary sourcing tools
Conduct phone and in-person interviews with every candidate prior to referral in accordance with client requirements
Assess technical, administrative, and software skills — including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and other software as required by the assignment
Coordinate FCRA-compliant background checks and screen candidates in accordance with EEOC guidance (nature of offense, time passed, nature of role, and applicable adjudication factors)
Obtain driver abstracts for roles that require driving; coordinate with the Program Manager on insurability determinations
Submit at least two qualified candidates with bill rates within 2 business days of the client's request; 5 business days for hard-to-fill positions
Coordinate candidate interviews with client supervisors; follow up promptly after interviews with debrief and next steps
Maintain accurate ATS records — candidates, submittals, interviews, placements, dispositions, and ongoing relationships
Build and nurture long-term candidate relationships to accelerate future placements and referrals
Represent AKIVA at local hiring events, career fairs, industry associations, and community organizations
Collaborate with the Account & Billing Coordinator on candidate onboarding and assignment launch
Meet defined placement targets, candidate-quality metrics, time-to-fill standards, and client satisfaction scores
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
5+ years of full-desk recruiting or staffing experience with demonstrated placements in administrative, IT, accounting, clerical, or closely adjacent labor categories
Proficient with ATS platforms (Bullhorn, JobDiva, Avionte, Crelate, or similar) and LinkedIn Recruiter
Strong Boolean search, sourcing, and candidate-assessment skills
Working knowledge of FCRA, EEOC, Title VII, ADA, and state/federal employment laws as they apply to candidate screening
Excellent interpersonal, interviewing, and negotiation skills
Ability to work hybrid in the Seattle metropolitan area (at least one Senior Recruiter must be Seattle-based)
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
SHRM-CP, Certified Staffing Professional (CSP), or Technical Services Certified (TSC) credential
Experience recruiting for public-sector, housing-authority, or nonprofit clients in the Pacific Northwest
Existing candidate network in the Seattle metropolitan area across at least two of the four target classifications (administrative, IT, accounting, clerical)
Bilingual skills (Spanish, Vietnamese, Somali, Chinese, or other languages common in the Seattle community)
Experience partnering with HUD Section 3 residents, veteran-hiring programs, workforce-development boards, or community hiring initiatives
Familiarity with AI-assisted sourcing, candidate-matching, and outreach-automation tools
