Primary Function
The Automation Coordinator ensures accurate, efficient pallet production by monitoring palletizer performance, resolving system alerts, and performing manual builds when needed, using tools such as NuMove UI and OPTO tablets.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for monitoring the pallet builds for their assigned palletizer to ensure they are stable and in the correct layout.
Complete all top off orders as required by the OPTO tablet stations for each palletizer.
Complete all “resume with changes” that are necessary to correct palletizer issues as they arise.
Communicate any mechanical issues that are occurring with the automation technician and work with them to resolve data issues at their assigned palletizer.
Use the NuMove UI to troubleshoot layer issues and operate the inside of the palletizer cell as necessary to resume operations after alerts are triggered.
Communicate with forklift operators to ensure that their palletizer has the necessary stock of pallets to complete all orders and prevent downtime.
Complete all EOD reporting using the stationed whiteboards to report any issues that the automation technician needs to check.
Clean and organize their assigned palletizer at the EOD.
Must adhere to all safety programs, and always maintain a safe work environment.
Qualifications
Requires a high school diploma or general education development (GED) diploma
Ability to obtain forklift license and operate manual/power pallet jacks
Reading and math skills needed to ensure accuracy of inventory levels, pricing, etc.
Ability to lift 40 pounds frequently
Ability to lift 30 pounds over shoulders frequently
Ability to push/pull product frequently
Ability to walk/stand at least 8 hours/daily
Maintains a professional relationship with co-workers, customers, and the public
A good candidate must provide a good work history that demonstrates: dependability, integrity, attention to detail, self-motivated, excellent customer service and takes initiative
Ability to pass the company’s background and Motor Vehicle Report and the company’s drug testing requirements
A valid NC Driver License is preferred
