About The Role
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing interior and exterior repairs across company-owned or leased homes and buildings to ensure safety, compliance, and functionality. This role involves hands-on maintenance work, routine inspections, material procurement, and collaboration with contractors and internal stakeholders. The technician ensures all environments remain secure, clean, and well-maintained while supporting operational efficiency and resident well-being.
Responsibilities
Perform exterior and interior repairs to all company-owned or leased homes/buildings
Ensure all homes/buildings are safe, secure, and compliant with applicable regulations
Purchase materials necessary for repairs and maintenance work
Submit daily receipts for all expenses, including purchase details and location, to the Support Service Director
Maintain proper cleanup after each job
Conduct routine maintenance including:
Household fixtures such as window shades, curtain rods, and smoke detectors
Plumbing systems including toilets, sinks, and pipes
Electrical components such as light fixtures and wall plugs
Heating, AC units, and water filtration systems including filter maintenance
Seasonal items such as storm doors and screens
Complete bi-annual site inspections
Maintain working relationships with external contractors and internal stakeholders
Safely utilize company tools and vehicles when performing job tasks
Participate in incident management training and reporting procedures
Adapt to evolving duties and responsibilities as needed
Required Qualifications
High School diploma
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to exercise independent judgment and prioritize tasks effectively
Ability to work independently and complete tasks without direct supervision
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of basic carpentry, electrical systems, plumbing, and heating systems
