Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the daily maintenance operations within a manufacturing/production facility. This role focuses on improving equipment reliability, ensuring workplace safety, and reducing downtime through preventative maintenance and effective troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment
Schedule and perform preventative maintenance and repair activities
Troubleshoot machinery and equipment issues to minimize downtime
Analyze equipment failures and implement preventative solutions
Maintain electrical, lighting, HVAC, and facility systems
Service and maintain company vehicles and forklifts, including recordkeeping
Track and maintain maintenance history for all equipment
Manage maintenance supplies and inventory, including vendor coordination
Provide technical guidance and support to team members on maintenance and safety initiatives
Ensure compliance with safety standards and assist with safety programs
Coordinate proper storage and disposal of hazardous materials
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or production maintenance
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of basic electrical systems, connections, and components
Ability to read and interpret machine manuals and electrical diagrams
Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and compliance requirements
Experience working with industrial equipment (plastics, sheet metal, or similar preferred)
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
