Role: USA_ Assembler_ Mechanical IV (Safety Valve Technician)
Location: Pasadena, TX
Pay Rate: $25/hr - $28/hr on W2 (inclusive all)
Term: 12-month
Shifts:
1st Shift: 7am to 3pm Monday – Friday
OT and weekends
Job description
As a Safety Valve Assembler, you will assemble complex components per assembly drawings / bill of material. Performs functional testing on assemblies. Tests assemblies per customer and/or division criteria. Operates test equipment in compliance with engineering standards. Applies settings, calibrates and maintains assembly tools. Performs torquing of various components. Distributes quality notifications (qn's).
Repairing safety relief valves to National Board VR Code
Testing safety valves with air, water, & steam
Reading and interpret manufacturers drawings and spring charts
Understanding of Steam boiler operating and testing
Applying measurement & math skills to verify critical dimensions
Performing machine and hand lapping of nozzles and discs
Performing valve write-up
Understanding the Pressure and leak test valves to National Board, API, and ASME standards
Work environment:
Very fast paced and noisy, long-Standing Hours
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Workshop
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent. 1+ years related experience
1+ Years experience with the Assembly of Safety Valves is preferred
Experience working with Dial Calipers
Experience working with Micrometers
Experience working with Consolidated products a plus)
Nice to have:
Reading and interpretation of assembly manuals
Good communicator
Attention detail
SAP familiarity (ERP systems)
