Job Summary
Maintenance Technician for the Mechanical Manufacturing team in Huntsville, Alabama. Performs preventative maintenance on CNC milling machines, lathes, and electron beam welders using Fanuc and Siemens controls. Tracks maintenance activities with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Primary Responsibilities
Maintain daily/weekly oil and coolant levels for CNC mills, lathes, and electron beam welders.
Perform preventive maintenance to reduce machine breakdowns.
Log maintenance work and report issues to senior technicians or supervisors.
Assist in repairing mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic systems on CNC lathes, mills, grinders, etc.
Basic Qualifications
High School diploma or GED with at least one year of experience in maintenance on CNC mills, lathes, or electron beam welding.
Effective communication skills.
Ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds unassisted.
Willingness to work overtime when required.
Full‑time availability: 4 days per week, 10 hours per shift, 1st shift.
U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting mindset.
Safety awareness and good communication.
Background in operating CNC equipment.
Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting/problem‑solving skills.
