Overview

Position: Lead Service Technician- Instrument, Fire, and Respiratory (IFR) in the Vallen Safety Services group. In this position, you will lead technicians in the inspections, testing, maintenance, and repairs to life safety equipment for established customers on a scheduled basis.
Responsibilities

Ensure the quality of service and adherence to Vallen standard operating procedures; supervise and train HTS technicians as assigned.
May have scheduling responsibilities.
Lead small groups or on-site service centers within area of expertise.
Coordinate with customers to plan job activities as needed.
Inspect, test, maintain, and repair life safety equipment (e.g., fire extinguishers, fire hoses, gas detection monitors, respiratory equipment, fall protection equipment, safety showers/eyewash units).
Ensure all documentation is completed and submitted for invoicing; provide required copies to customers.
Maintain knowledge of regulatory standards (state, OSHA, NFPA, Vallen SOPs).
Process parts and equipment requests; maintain accurate inventories related to jobs.
Assist shipping/receiving and support order processing as needed.
May use company-issued assets (vehicle, equipment, laptop, tools, etc.) and maintain them per policy.
Maintain care of assets per Vallen policies.
Job Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 4 certifications (manufacturer/state) in a related field
Minimum 5+ years related experience
Mechanically inclined
Strong communication, initiative, and problem-solving skills
Relevant experience:

Experience in inspection, testing, maintenance and repair of life safety equipment
Advanced industry segment knowledge
Maintain minimum productivity of 90% within 60 days
Demonstrated ability to manage a customer account or project
Ability to repair and service equipment sold by Vallen
Current motor vehicle license with good driving record
Commercial driver''s license if transporting hazardous materials
Proficient with hand tools
Ability to complete repairs and maintenance timely and accurately
Ability to provide assistance, advice and training to associates and plant personnel
Assist warehouse personnel with order fulfillment if needed
Keep all certifications and licenses current via ongoing education
Ability to read, write and comprehend English (operational, process and quality instructions)
