Lead Low Voltage Systems Technician

Armorstack, Waukesha, WI, United States

Own Complex Security Builds from First Sketch to Final Handoff. Step into a leadership role with real authority at Armorstack’s CITADEL division. Based across Southeast Wisconsin (Milwaukee metro and nearby communities), you will architect, program, and deliver enterprise-grade physical security solutions—while guiding a tight‑knit field crew to on‑time, on‑budget outcomes.

Snapshot

Employment: Full-time

Compensation: $75,000 – $90,000 base (DOE) + company vehicle + fully paid certifications + health/dental/vision + 401(k)

Start: ASAP

Location: Field-focused across Southeast Wisconsin with occasional Midwest travel

A Day in the Role
Morning: review bid documents, refine design notes, and finalize network topologies. Midday: program core platforms—Software House, Lenel, Milestone, Genetec, Notifier, Edwards—tuning logic, access matrices, and alarm behaviors. Afternoon: on‑site you’ll direct a 3–5 person crew, coordinate with the GC and client, enforce safety and quality, and validate integrations between access control, video, intrusion, fire, and structured cabling. Wrap: document test results, update as‑builts, and plan tomorrow’s commissioning steps.

What You’ll Lead

System architecture & programming: Create diagrams/specs; build integrations via APIs/scripting; optimize performance and uptime; reduce nuisance alarms.

Field leadership: Assign work, mentor technicians, track materials, protect schedule/budget, and own site communication.

Installation & commissioning: Pull, terminate, and certify copper/fiber to TIA/EIA and BICSI standards; install cameras, readers, panels, sensors; complete full functional, failover, and integration testing; deliver client walkthroughs.

Documentation: Maintain comprehensive as‑builts, test reports, O&M materials.

Why This is Different

True ownership—design it, build it, commission it.

Enterprise scope—multi‑site commercial environments, not small residential work.

Real leadership—set standards, mentor techs, make on‑site decisions.

Innovation—work within Armorstack’s Managed Intelligence Provider model where CITADEL’s physical security converges with cybersecurity and IT.

Growth—pathways to senior technical, PM, and leadership roles; company vehicle; laptop/phone; tool allowance philosophy; and 100% paid certifications (NICET, BICSI, OEM, OSHA).
