Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain secure OCI network architectures, including:
Virtual Cloud Networks (VCNs)
Secure Zones
DNS systems
Site‑to‑site and client VPNs using IPSEC
Implement and manage OCI networking fundamentals to support mission‑critical federal workloads
Configure and monitor network traffic using VCN Flow Logs and analyze telemetry using ML/AI‑driven tools to identify anomalies, performance issues, and security risks
Support hybrid cloud connectivity and secure data flows between on‑premises environments and OCI
Automate network provisioning and configuration using Terraform and Ansible
Perform advanced network troubleshooting across TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and Linux‑based systems
Support and document BCAP (Business Change Approval Process) activities, including change planning, risk assessment, and implementation approval
Develop and maintain Linux scripts to support monitoring, automation, and diagnostics
Ensure network designs align with federal security, compliance, and accreditation requirements
Provide operational support, documentation, and knowledge transfer to government and contractor stakeholders
Qualifications
Clearance requirement:
U.S. Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
10 years of work experience
Demonstrated experience as a Network Engineer supporting secure environments, preferably within federal or DoD contracts
Hands‑on experience building and maintaining OCI networking fundamentals, including VCNs, Secure Zones, DNS, VPNs, and IPSEC tunnels
Strong experience with TCP/IP networking, DNS, and network troubleshooting
Proficiency in Linux administration, including command‑line operations and scripting
Experience using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and configuration management tools like Ansible
Familiarity with BCAP processes or formal change management frameworks
Ability to analyze network telemetry using VCN Flow Logs and modern monitoring or ML/AI‑based analysis tools
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
OCI cloud networking architecture and security best practices
Network security principles, including IPSEC, segmentation, secure zones, and defense‑in‑depth
Federal IT compliance, governance, and change control processes, including BCAP
Advanced network troubleshooting across TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and hybrid cloud environments
Linux system administration and automation through scripting
Infrastructure automation using Terraform and Ansible
Network monitoring and analytics using VCN Flow Logs and ML/AI‑assisted tools
Documentation and communication of complex network designs and changes
Design and implement secure, scalable network architectures supporting sensitive federal workloads
Respond effectively to network incidents and performance issues in high‑availability environments
Work independently while collaborating with cross‑functional cloud, security, and compliance teams
