Tax Associate Attorney (Energy)

Sheppard is seeking an associate with 2-4 years of tax law firm experience to join our Tax Practice Group and work with our Energy, Infrastructure and Project Finance team. The ideal candidate has experience researching and applying federal income tax principles and working with partnership and corporate taxation in a transactional setting. Knowledge of energy tax credits is strongly preferred.

2-4 years of transactional tax experience at a law firm.
Excellent oral communication, writing, research, and analytical skills.
Strong academic credentials.
Most members of our energy tax practice team are located in Chicago, but we will consider strong candidates for all domestic U.S. cities in which Sheppard has offices. Candidates must be admitted to and a member in good standing with the state bar in which they reside.
The annual salary range for this position is $235,000 - $310,000.
