A well respected law firm in Manhatten, NY is seeking an Appellate Attorney. This Attorney would be responsible for handling legal research, motion practice, and appellate work. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys strategy, writing, analysis, & legal research!
Requirements
JD from an accredited law school
Admitted to practice in NY
Experience with NY motion practice (Appellate experience preferred)
Prior Civil Litigation or Personal Injury experience is a plus
3+ Years of legal writing and motion practice experience. Law review and or journal experience is preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to prioritize tasks
Responsibilities
Write & oppose motions in limine
Conduct in-depth legal research
Oppose summary judgement motions
Write affirmative summary judgement motionsComprehensive benefits package
