
Litigation Secretary

Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to attorneys handling litigation and transactional matters.
Prepare and finalize legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, correspondence, memoranda, and presentations, with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
Electronically file (and file in paper form when required) documents with federal, state, and appellate courts, including filings under seal and preparation of chambers copies.
Review and ensure compliance with applicable court rules, judges’ standing orders, and filing procedures.
Coordinate complex and lengthy document preparation, including working with word processing staff as appropriate.
Coordinate mailings, deliveries, and copying.
Manage attorney calendars, including scheduling meetings, travel arrangements, and conference rooms.
Prepare new business forms, engagement agreements, and assist with new matter intake.
Enter attorney time, prepare expense reimbursements and payment disbursement requests.
Calendar litigation and other deadlines.
Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, attorneys, and firm personnel.
Perform additional administrative and secretarial duties as assigned; flexibility to work occasional overtime may be required.
Qualifications
Minimum of three to five years of litigation experience as a legal secretary; transactional experience is a plus.
High school diploma or GED required; college coursework or degree a plus.
Thorough knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and electronic filing requirements.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, and Excel required); experience with PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, Kofax Power PDF, and/or Adobe Acrobat is a plus.
Familiarity with SurePoint, iManage, and CompuLaw (or similar systems), or willingness to learn.
Typing speed of at least 65 words per minute with strong accuracy.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment.
Detail‑oriented, dependable, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively.

Trucker Huss, APC reasonably expects to pay between $58 – $61 per hour for this non‑exempt position in the San Francisco Bay Area. This range represents the firm’s good‑faith estimate at the time of posting and does not guarantee an applicant’s wage.
