
Securities Regulatory Attorney - In-house (Exchange Experience Preferred)

Our client is seeking a highly motivated derivatives Regulatory Attorney with 3–7 years of experience to support legal and regulatory strategy for a cutting edge U.S. regulated exchange (DCM) and clearing organization (DCO) operating within the federal commodity derivatives regulatory framework. The company has been expanding over the last couple of years and offers a great firm culture and room for growth.
About the Role
This attorney will work closely with their colleagues to guide the company in navigating the Securities and Exchange Commission and Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s harmonization efforts and develop the DCM and DCO platforms’ products and service offerings. Will provide daily support to Legal, Compliance and Markets teams.
Responsibilities
Advise on the application of the Securities Act of 1933, Securities Exchange Act of 1934, Commodity Exchange Act, and SEC and CFTC regulations to exchange and clearing organization operations.
Analyze legal issues related to prediction markets.
Qualifications
3–7 years of experience in derivatives regulatory law.
Required Skills
Strong understanding of federal commodity derivatives regulatory framework.
Experience with SEC and CFTC regulations.
Preferred Skills
Experience in navigating legal issues related to prediction markets.
