Data Analytics Intern

Job Summary
The Data/Analytics Intern will support the maintenance, enhancement, and ongoing support of tkMNA regional systems and applications within the Data & Analytics function. This role works closely with cross‑functional team members to assist in developing dashboards, analytics solutions, and automation initiatives. By the end of the internship, the intern will gain exposure to multiple IT applications and hands‑on experience with data visualization and Power Platform tools.

Key Accountabilities

Learn and understand the functionality of various IT applications and systems

Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Understand databases, table schemas, and data relationships

Interpret data, perform data analysis, and conduct data validation

Develop high-quality Power BI dashboards and visualizations

Design and build Power Apps (Canvas and Model‑driven) to streamline workflows and improve data capture

Create and configure Power Platform agents using Power Automate and Copilot Studio to automate processes and enhance user experience

Work with Cloud and DevOps teams on API development, integration, and performance optimization

Participate in meetings and shadow team members to capture detailed system and process knowledge

Document findings and update the knowledge repository with information gathered during shadowing sessions

Follow established department documentation standards and templates

Perform testing, enhancements, and quality checks to ensure solution accuracy and usability

Participate in peer‑to‑peer training sessions and solution reviews

Support user documentation, training, and adoption of analytics and automation solutions

Qualifications

Currently enrolled full‑time in an accredited university; junior or senior academic standing

Business Management, Information Systems, Computer Science or related fields; 3.0 or higher GPA

Ability to think critically and keep up in a fast‑paced environment is critical

The ideal candidate will have a passion for business and technology

Interest to learn data and create appealing visualizations; understanding of MS Power Platform

Strong communication, research and organizational skills

Proficient in Microsoft O365 suite; Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams and Excel

Self‑motivated, competitive, assertive

Ability to work both independently and in a team setting

Willingness to take feedback and iterate on dashboards

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and processes
