Texoma Medical Center, a 414-bed acute care facility has been providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. Our main campus is located in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth area and just south of the Texas/Oklahoma border. In addition, we have numerous facilities in locations throughout the Texoma region. Since 1965, TMC has forged a special relationship with the people of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma. Texoma residents have come to depend on TMC to meet a spectrum of physical, mental and spiritual needs. TMC has responded with unique services to provide the kind of sophisticated, experienced care that was once available only in major metropolitan areas. We offer major specialty services including open heart surgery and neurosurgery. Advanced resources such as certified trauma care support TMC's role as a regional specialty center.
The basic purpose of nursing is to provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Additionally, nursing will provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times. The Standards of Practice set forth by the professional nursing associations will provide guidelines for the competent, safe and professional practice.

Qualifications
Current Texas nursing license or compact license. BSN preferred.
Two years experience in acute care specialty nursing. One year charge nurse or supervisory experience preferred.
RQI BLS, ACLS and PALS required
BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines and all required Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Healthcare Provider courses will be provided during new hire orientation or upon transfer, and must be completed prior to working in a clinical setting. See additional department proficiency requirements above.
National certification in area of supervision preferred (i.e. CCRN, PCCN)
Must maintain all clinical competencies for area of supervision. Must be clinically competent in area of population served.
Must demonstrate knowledge and ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel. Must possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate team leadership.
Must have the ability to problem solve and think critically.
Must possess basic computer application skills.
