Qualifications

Education

Associate's Degree in a Related Field

OR Certificate of Completion in Radiologic Technology

Licenses / Certifications

Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days – American Heart Association (AHA)

Registered in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) within 1 year – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

OR Certified MRI Technologist within 1 year – American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)

Work Experience

1+ years in Radiology

Specialized Knowledge & Skills

Positive attitude, willingness to improve the work environment, ability to perform multiple tasks while coordinating patient flow and technical procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate acceptable imaging quality standards by critiquing positioning, technical factors, and alignment. Review patient data for accuracy, quality and completeness.

Ensure patient, visitor and environmental safety. Report safety events immediately, including near misses.

May perform duties of MRI Lead or Imaging Coordinator when absent.

Meet productivity levels as established by department benchmarking. Assist other areas during downtimes to maintain productivity.

May be required to perform duties of other modalities within the department for which licensure is held.

Comply with job descriptions of cross‑trained modalities also performed within the department.

Research assignments as needed.

Perform MRI procedures and assigned invasive procedures, including IV gadolinium administration, monitoring for adverse reactions, and image acquisition in PACS/RIS.

Review radiology orders for completeness and accuracy, and manage medical necessity documentation.

Assist in instruction of students and new staff as necessary.

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this position is $37.60 per hour to $64.67 per hour. Carle Health offers a comprehensive benefits package for team members and providers.
