Job Summary
The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) performs routine laboratory tests and procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing, monitoring, and treating diseases. The MLT works under the supervision of a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Laboratory Manager and ensures accurate and timely test results.
Key Responsibilities
Perform moderate complexity laboratory testing in areas such as hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and urinalysis
Collect, process, and analyze patient specimens
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment
Record and verify test results accurately
Follow quality control procedures and safety standards
Maintain laboratory inventory and supplies
Collaborate with healthcare professionals regarding test results
