Internship Overview
Mortenson’s Denver office is looking for an Intern to participate in an eight‑week rotation across field and office disciplines including Virtual Design & Construction, Safety, Estimating, Project Accounting, Lean, and more. Interns will experience live construction projects and office work, building relationships with industry professionals.
Responsibilities & Experiences
Participate in field projects and observe construction processes.
Work alongside office teams in disciplines such as Estimating and Project Accounting.
Attend safety and project management meetings.
Collaborate with project teams and contribute to daily site operations.
Eligibility & Qualifications
Must be 16 years old or older at the start of the internship.
Currently pursuing a four‑year degree in Construction Management, Civil/Architectural/Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
Able to work 20–24 hours per week for 8 weeks (approximately 120 total hours).
Comfortable with exposure to outdoor construction environments—dust, noise, heat.
Demonstrates strong teamwork, communication, problem‑solving, and a professional attitude.
Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly wage starts at $17.50. The intern will gain hands‑on field exposure, professional networking, and opportunities for consideration in future college internships.
