How To Qualify
Pick the path that fits you. All four paths lead to the same job.

Path 1: STNA License (Fastest Start)

Pay: $18 per hour

Need: STNA license in Ohio – active or expired.

How long: 1–3 days if you move fast.

Your STNA means you already passed the state test; you skip our written and skills test.

Steps to start:

Apply with your STNA license number.

Phone talk (20 minutes).

Short online questionnaire.

Sign paperwork online.

Online orientation plus document verification (30–40 minutes).

Fingerprinting.

Path 2: HHA Certificate

Pay: $16–$18 per hour based on interview.

Need: HHA certificate, 30+ hours, signed by RN (unless completed online).

How long: 5–8 days to work.

How it works:

Apply and send your certificate.

Phone talk (20 minutes).

Short online questionnaire.

Take the HHA test at our Cuyahoga Falls office (scheduled with you).

Sign paperwork online.

Online orientation plus document verification (30–40 minutes).

Fingerprinting.

Path 3: Experience Under a Licensed Nurse (No Certificate Needed)

Pay: $16–$18 per hour based on interview.

Need: 1+ year at one company where your supervisor was an RN or LPN.

How long: 5–8 days after we verify your experience.

Where this type of experience comes from:

Nursing homes

Hospitals

Skilled home health agencies (Medicare‑certified)

Assisted living with licensed nurses on staff

What does NOT count:

Non‑medical home care agencies (supervisor was a care coordinator or office manager)

Private caregiving for family or friends

Any job where your supervisor was not a licensed nurse

Ohio requires Home Health Aides to have training or supervised experience under a licensed nurse. We don’t make this rule — the state does.

How it works:

Apply – include your former employer’s name, phone number, your RN or LPN supervisor’s name and title, and the dates you worked there.

We call your old employer to verify your experience and confirm that your supervisor was an RN or LPN.

Once verified, we schedule your phone talk (20 minutes).

Short online questionnaire.

Take the HHA test at our Cuyahoga Falls office (scheduled with you).

Sign paperwork online.

Online orientation plus document verification (30–40 minutes).

Fingerprinting.

We verify first so we don’t waste your time on a phone interview if we can’t confirm your experience.

Path 4: No Experience (We Train You Free)

Pay: $16 per hour.

Need: Just a willingness to help people. We teach everything else.

How long: 1–2 weeks to work.

How it works:

Apply.

Phone talk (20 minutes).

Short online questionnaire.

Complete free 32‑hour online HHA training (at home, 6 days to finish; not paid).

Take the HHA test at our Cuyahoga Falls office (scheduled with you).

Sign paperwork online.

Online orientation plus document verification (30–40 minutes).

Fingerprinting.

If you don’t finish the training in 6 days, we close your application. Text us right away if something comes up.

The HHA Test
Ohio requires all Home Health Aides to pass a competency test (written questions and skill demonstration). You need 80% on both parts. Both parts happen in person at our Cuyahoga Falls office. We schedule a time that works for you.

Already passed an HHA test at another job? Show us your results. 80% or higher means you skip it.

STNAs skip the test entirely. Your license — active or expired — proves you passed.

What The Job Looks Like
You go to clients’ homes and help them with daily life tasks: bathing, getting dressed, meals, light cleaning, errands, and companionship. It’s physical work; you help clients move around and stay on your feet most of the day. Tell us if you need help doing these tasks, and we can discuss options.

You do NOT give medicine or perform medical tasks— that’s for nurses.

Where We Need Caregivers

Akron, Barberton, Copley, Cuyahoga Falls, Hartville, Hudson, Kent, New Franklin, Norton, Rootstown, Silver Lake, Stow, Tallmadge, Uniontown.

We match based on travel distance, not just city names. Tell us you have a 30‑minute radius, and we may assign clients anywhere in that range.

Your Clients Match Your Limits
During your phone interview, you tell us your limits—pets, smoking, travel distance, days and times. We only assign clients that fit what you said. Period.

The trade‑off: The more open you are, the faster you start. The stricter your limits, the longer you wait.

We might have 5 clients today. If none match your limits, you get none. You control the timeline.

Three possible situations:

Open to most things – could start with 20–40 hours right away.

Strict limits – may wait 1–2 weeks for a matching client.

Open but no matches today – you’re first in line for the next one.

Your first two weeks gauge reliability with fill‑in shifts. If permanent clients match you immediately, we assign them right away.

After that, you have regular clients—same people every week. Most caregivers have 2–4 regulars. Want more hours? Pick up extra fill‑ins anytime.

Document Verification
Federal law requires us to verify your identity and work authorization. During your orientation video call, you’ll show original documents on camera. Tell us which documents to bring—we’ll send you the full list.

What You Need

Driver’s license.

Your own car with insurance that covers work driving.

Pass background checks.

Work at least 20 hours per week.

Available between 6 AM–8 PM (most work is 8 AM–5 PM).

Legal right to work in the U.S.

Must be at least 18 years old.

What We Don’t Offer

No PTO – time off is unpaid; give us one month notice.

No 401k.

No health insurance.

What Grows With You

Your pay – through the raise system based on performance.

Your client relationships – same people every week.

Your earnings – through bonuses and referrals.

One caregiver has been here 18 years. Want to change your limits later? Just tell us.
