Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located at our Lockport, NY facility for a Patient Service Representative. The responsibilities include scheduling patient appointments, verifying insurance coverage, managing communication with patients via phone, and providing administrative support in a medical office setting. The role requires a compassionate, patient-centered approach and attention to detail to ensure seamless service delivery to patients and their families.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Appointment Scheduling and managing patient calendars
Strong skills in Phone Etiquette to provide professional and empathetic communication
Experience with Insurance Verification and handling patient insurance-related inquiries
Knowledge of Medical Terminology to ensure accurate communication in a healthcare environment
Experience working in a Medical Office or healthcare administrative setting
Strong organizational and time-management abilities
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in healthcare administration are a plus
Experience in cancer care or a healthcare environment is an advantage
